KYCAID Product Update: September 2026
September's release splits down the middle. Half the updates change how verification works — particularly for US applicants. The other half change the dashboard your compliance team spends its day in, making it faster to find an applicant, read your numbers, and trace what happened in a verification.
We also spent the end of the month in Lisbon at SBC Summit, and have our next event confirmed.
Here's what's new.
Verification
US state restriction for Address verification and US Datamatch
You can now restrict the Address verification step and US Datamatch services by US state.
For platforms whose licensing or regulatory obligations differ by state — common in US gaming, lending, and money transmission — the verification flow can now reflect where you're actually permitted to operate, rather than accepting every state and filtering afterwards.
Face match added to video quiz verification
Video quiz verification now includes a face match check.
The face captured during the video quiz is compared against the applicant's document photo tying the person answering the questions to the verified identity. It closes a gap where a video step could confirm that a live person is present without confirming it is the right one.
Dashboard
Search on the Applicants page in Monitoring
The Applicants page in Monitoring now has search. Finding a specific applicant no longer means scrolling or filtering through the full list — useful when a case needs pulling up quickly for a review, a customer query, or an internal check.
Statistics tab now shows every service type
The Statistics tab has been expanded to show every service type. You can now see usage broken down across all the services you run rather than a partial picture, which makes it easier to understand where your verification volume and spend actually sit.
Redesigned Events log
The Events log tab on the Verification page has been rebuilt to the new design. It's the step-by-step record of what happened during a verification, and the redesign makes that history easier to read when you're reconstructing a case.
Testing
Test-mode forms now open on a zero balance
Test-mode forms now open even when your balance is zero. Previously, testing required funds on the account first. Now you can build and try a verification flow before topping up — particularly useful for teams evaluating KYCAID or configuring a new form ahead of going live.
Events
SBC Summit Lisbon — and next stop, Rome
At the end of September our team was in Lisbon for SBC Summit, meeting operators, platforms and compliance teams across iGaming and fintech.
Next up is SiGMA World in Rome, 2–5 November 2026, at Fiera Roma. If you'll be there, we'd be glad to meet or you can book a slot with the team in advance.
Wrapping up
September's updates do two things: they give you finer control over verification for US applicants and video flows, and they make the dashboard faster to work in. With test mode now open on a zero balance, getting started no longer waits on a top-up.
