KYCAID | June 2026 Monthly Digest
June brought one of our bigger updates yet — starting with a new look for KYCAID itself, and followed by a run of features that tighten verification, onboarding, and compliance controls across the platform. Here's everything we shipped.
A New Look for KYCAID
We've started rolling out our rebrand, beginning with the homepage. The new design reflects where KYCAID is heading as a platform, and more pages will follow in the coming months. If you land on kycaid.com, this is the first thing you'll notice.
Payment Method Verification Gets Deeper
Payment Method Verification Gets Deeper
Our Payment Method verification service now goes further into bank statement processing. We've added:
🔹 Card mask validation — checking that the card number pattern shown on a statement is consistent and genuine
🔹 Transaction amount validation — verifying that amounts on the statement match expected values during preprocessing
🔹 Data match validation — cross-referencing the details a client submits against what's actually extracted from the bank statement and card photo
Together, these additions catch inconsistencies earlier in the verification flow, before a statement is fully processed.
South Africa ID Verification: Three Methods, One Fast Option
South Africa is now supported with three ID verification methods. The standout is a non-document flow built for speed — ideal for onboarding scenarios where you want to verify an applicant without asking them to upload a physical ID. It's the quickest path to a verified applicant in this market, and a good default if your priority is minimizing onboarding friction.
Questionnaire Update: Room for More Answers
Custom questionnaires just got more flexible. The number of possible answer options per question is now expanded to 100, up from the previous limit. If you run detailed intake forms or multi-choice compliance questionnaires, you now have far more room to structure them the way you need.
Italian Language Support Added
The verification form now supports Italian. Applicants can complete the process in their own language, which typically means smoother onboarding and fewer drop-offs for Italian-speaking users.
New Control: Effective Age Date
Age restriction settings now include an Effective Age Date control. This addresses a subtlety that varies by jurisdiction:
🔹In some countries, the effective date for age calculations is the date of birth itself.
🔹In others, it's the day after the date of birth.
This control lets you configure age restriction logic to match the specific rule in each country you operate in, rather than applying a single assumption across the board.
Tax ID Extraction from ID Documents
Where a Tax ID appears on an identity document, KYCAID can now extract it automatically as part of document processing. This reduces manual data entry and keeps tax-related fields populated directly from the source document when available.
Billing Section: Customizable Invoice Details
The Billing section has been updated so clients can customize their own company details used on invoices. Previously fixed, this information can now be set from the user's side directly — useful if your legal entity name, address, or registration details need to appear a specific way on billing documents.
Transaction Monitoring: New Volume-Based Rule
We've added a new Transaction Monitoring rule: Maximum volume in EUR per timeframe. This lets you screen for transaction activity that exceeds a defined volume threshold within a set period, denominated in EUR — a common control point for flagging unusual account activity or structuring patterns.
In Case You Missed It: May 2026
If May got away from you, here's what shipped:
▹ Face API — stronger deepfake detection — the deepfake detection model was retrained to catch a broader set of generative-AI artefacts, improving precision on borderline cases. Live for all Face API customers, no configuration needed.
▹ Fuzzy Search — tunable matching — match thresholds and per-field weights in fuzzy search are now configurable, so you can tighten or loosen matching (e.g. on date of birth) to your own risk appetite.
▹ Database Screening — see why a match fired — screening results now show Total Score, Database Type, and source URL inline, so reviewers and MLROs can trace a match back to its source without leaving the page.
▹ PDF Reports — full evidence chain in one export — verification reports now include questionnaire responses alongside verification evidence, so audit packs no longer need manual reconciliation.
▹ Monitoring Dashboard — filter by country — the BDB module in the monitoring dashboard can now be filtered by country, useful for teams managing multi-jurisdictional client bases.
Wrapping Up
June's release touched nearly every part of the platform — from the first visible signs of our rebrand to deeper controls in payment verification, age logic, and transaction monitoring.
