What is Fraud Prevention?
Fraud prevention is the art of stopping abuse before it hardens into loss. It’s a hybrid of product design, controls, monitoring and operations. You choose whom to trust, when to apply friction and how to course correct when you’re wrong. Great programs are invisible to good users and hostile to bad ones.
Pillars: clean capture, layered signals (device, behavior, payment, identity), explainable decisioning, fast case handling, and feedback loops that turn every chargeback or alert into new rules or model features. Write playbooks for sensitive actions—recovery, new payees, high‑value orders. Test incidents like fire drills.
