What is Keystroke Dynamics?
Keystroke dynamics tracks the timing of a user’s typing patterns—the latency of presses and releases, flight times between keys, error rates, and so on, including features of copy/paste events. It’s a form of behavioral biometrics that requires no specialized hardware. A model establishes a behavioral profile over many sessions, against which new logins or high-risk behaviors are scored. Reusing the same credentials across different individuals results in a drift from the baseline behavior.
